This course has been designed for total beginners or for those who have only climbed indoors. It is a two day introduction to single pitch climbing on real rock.  If you would like to try rock climbing outdoors for the first time then this course is for you.  Whether you are nervous or raring to go we will make sure the course is designed to suit your needs and goals.

We will cover all of the basics of rock climbing including warming up and bouldering, tying on to the rope, movement skills, belaying (i.e. holding the rope for another climber) and abseiling.  Each day will be run at a different venue to give you the opportunity to try as many climbs as possible at different grades and on different rock.

No prior experience is needed for this course: just lots of enthusiasm to try out a new challenge. We will meet at the climbing venues at 09:30 each day and will finish by 17:00. We will be outside all day. There are a number of suitable cliffs that can be climbed on in all conditions so the course will go ahead whatever the weather.
