Wild Camping in the Lake District

Introduction to Wild Camping

If you have ever fancied camping in the Lake District hills but have not been sure how to go about it then this is the course for you.  Get to experience the Lake District that day walkers never get to see; away from the crowds, with only the sound of the wind on your tent to lull you to sleep, this is a truly wild experience.

To book a place on this course please email us or call us on 07984 410230 first with your choice of dates to find out if there are still places available and then follow the instructions on our "How to Book" page.

Course Content

This two day course will include a hill walk, an overnight camp and tips on site selection, what kit to take with you, how to minimise your impact on the landscape and how to make your wild camping as enjoyable as possible.

We will be walking into the hills carrying large rucksacks so a good level of fitness is important and some experience of camping in camp sites is preferable.

We will give you plenty of advice before the course on what to bring with you and we do have some tents and stoves we can lend to you so that you can try a variety of each before buying.
