Rock Climbing Courses in the Lake District

The Lake District has a lifetime of rock climbing to keep you entertained; some of the best classic routes in the country are hidden away just waiting to be discovered. We can cater for all abilities from a beginners' rock climbing course through to a five day multi-pitch classic rock tour. More than Climbing
Climbing, like a lot of sports, has developed its own vocabulary which can sometimes be intimidating to people when they first start out. We have done our best to use as little technical jargon on our pages as possible but sometimes it is unavoidable and if you decide you would like to learn more about climbing you will need to
learn the lingo.
For a comprehensive guide to climbing you would do well to start
with Libby Peter's "Rock Climbing". It was written with instructors
in mind but is packed full of useful, easy to understand information for everyone.
If you are unsure what the difference between single and multi-pitch
climbing is or you would not the difference between a sling and a
friend then check out the More than Mountains
A-Z guide to
climbing terms.
There are some amazing climbs in the Lake District and sometimes
